Security Information

Zayed International Airport (AUH) maintains world-class security standards to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers. Familiarise yourself with the following guidelines to expedite your journey through our security checkpoints.

Preparing for Security Screening

We recommend preparing your carry-on baggage before reaching the security area to ensure a swift and efficient process.

Liquids, Aerosols, and Gels (LAGs)

All LAGs must be in containers no larger than 100ml each. Place these containers in a single, transparent, re-sealable plastic bag (approximately 20cm x 20cm).

Electronics

Remove all large electronic devices, such as laptops, tablets, and cameras, from your carry-on bag and place them in a separate tray for screening

Outerwear

Remove all coats, jackets, and belts before passing through the metal detector or body scanner.

Boarding Pass

Keep your boarding pass readily accessible for inspection at the checkpoint.

Prohibited Items

Certain items are strictly prohibited from being carried in your hand luggage or checked baggage due to safety regulations. Familiarise yourself with these restrictions to avoid delays.
