Quick & Easy Check-In and Bag Drop

Use our convenient City Check-in services to drop your baggage at a dedicated facility in Abu Dhabi up to 24 hours before your flight. Alternatively, use the self-service kiosks in the terminal for a swift bag drop.

Always ensure your luggage meets the baggage allowance guidelines to avoid delays.

Expedited Security and Immigration

Book Fast Track to access priority lanes at both Security and Immigration. Review the Security Information page beforehand to ensure your carry-on is prepared and free of prohibited items.

Pre-Flight: Lounges and Wellness

Our world-class Etihad First and Business, Pearl and Diamond Lounge facilities offer tranquil retreats. Or book an express treatment at one of our spa and wellness centres before you board.

World-Class Retail and Dining

Indulge in a moment of retail therapy or gourmet dining. AUH offers exclusive value on luxury goods, through an extensive directory of Shops (A-Z) and Restaurants (A-Z).

Family and Special Assistance

Our dedicated Family Services include play areas and baby care rooms.
People of Determination (PoD’s) and passengers requiring additional support can collect a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard at the Special Assistance Desks for discrete support.

Baggage Claim and Customs

Check the information screens for your flight number and collect your luggage from the designated carousel. If you have any items to declare, proceed to the Customs declaration lane.

Onward Travel: Taxis and Ride Hailing

For immediate travel, proceed to the taxis and limousines bays, which offer premium and standard vehicles.
Alternatively, connect with your pre-booked Ride Hailing (Careem/Uber) service at the designated pick-up zone in the Arrivals Car Park.

Car Rental and Private Transfers

If you prefer to drive yourself, our official Car Rental Partners desks are conveniently located in the arrivals hall. For pre-arranged private transfers, your driver will meet you at the designated area.

Family and Special Assistance

We ensure a comfortable arrival for all. Passengers requiring special assistance can receive support from our dedicated team.
Families can use Family Services for baby care rooms and assistance.

AUH Transfer Process

Follow signange indicating ‘Transfer’ immediately upon disembarking to reach the dedicated security screening area.
Ensure you have your boarding pass for your onward flight ready. If you do not have it, proceed to the Transfer Desk for your airline.

Baggage Transfer

For flights booked on a single ticket, your luggage is typically transferred automatically (air-to-air Transfer). You do not need to collect and re-check your bags. If you are unsure, confirm with your airline at your point of origin that your bags are tagged to your final destination.

Expedited Transit: Fast Track and Salam

Consider booking a Fast Track pass to use dedicated lanes at transfer security checkpoints.
For a fully guided experience, book the Salam Service, where an agent will meet you and fast-track you through the entire process.

Relaxation and Rejuvenation

Turn your layover into a retreat. Access our premium airport lounges for comfort and dining, or book a treatment at one of the spa and wellness centres. If you have a longer layover, the Airport Hotel offers comfortable rooms within the terminal.
